The Story
Lake Michigan water levels began rising in 2018 and reached its highest level in 2020. Beaches were wiped out, roads along the shoreline collapsed and entire houses were literally falling into the water. This image was captured at Pere Marquette in Muskegon, Michigan, the day after a brutal storm on October 22, 2019.
