The Story

This image was taken with my cell phone while driving to Lansing, Michigan on I-96 on a frosty March morning (my husband was behind the wheel). There was snow fog that morning and the landscape was stunning in its glittering brightness. I shot 15 or so photos through the passenger side window while traveling at 70mph. Of those 15 or so photos, only this one had any merit. It is a remarkable photo! I could not have staged this or even captured it because I don't get out of my car on interstate highways to take pictures. This image conveys a sense of isolation even though the subject is symbolic of communication.
