The Story

Hemlock Crossing is an Ottawa County park in West Olive, Michigan. This tree has graced the kayak launch in the park for decades. It is an iconic tree and the subject of many artists across many mediums. I knew I wanted to capture this location and required a sticky snowfall to accomplish my vision. One morning I awoke to a gorgeous white landscape and boy, I did not want to drag myself out of the house. But, I did and captured this image exactly as I had imagined it. Another heavy snowfall in early March, 2023, took the tree down. 

The Print

• Limited Edition print: 20 + 2AP* covering all sizes and mediums
• Epson Somerset Velvet Fine Art Paper, a 100% cotton mould made paper, and Canon Archival Inks, a superior pigment ink. This museum quality combination of paper and ink produces rich color, fine detail and a longevity not found in lustre paper prints. 
• 1 inch white border, titled, signed and numbered 
• Certificate of Authenticity

Shipping/Delivery

Free shipping on all unframed prints. Small prints are shipped in a sturdy, flat mailer. Large prints are shipped in a tube. Framed pieces are shipped at the expense of the buyer. 

Please allow 2 weeks for processing your order. Large orders may require more time. Framed pieces will require at least 6 weeks to assemble.
