The Story

I found this bird while hiking a local wetland trail. It was about 2pm on a hot June afternoon. The sun was shining straight down on the sleeping bird and everything in the brush filled background and swampy foreground was in the shadows, yet still very visible in the original raw image. I didn't know at the time that the sun was in the perfect spot to get a perfect reflection. As I worked with what appeared to be a fairly ordinary photograph, I began to evolve a workflow that would unwittingly lead to an astonishing image and the first in a series entitled "Color on Black."

The Print

• Limited Edition print: 25 + 2AP covering all sizes and mediums*
• Epson Somerset Velvet Fine Art Paper, a 100% cotton mould made paper, and Canon Archival Inks, a superior pigment ink. This museum quality combination of paper and ink produces rich color, fine detail and a longevity not found in lustre paper prints. 
• 1 inch white border, titled, signed and numbered 
• Certificate of Authenticity

Shipping/Delivery

Free shipping on all unframed prints. Small prints are shipped in a sturdy, flat mailer. Large prints are shipped in a tube. Framed pieces are shipped at the expense of the buyer. 

Please allow 2 weeks for processing your order. Large orders may require more time. Framed pieces will require at least 6 weeks to assemble.
