The Story

The drama of this image was complete serendipity. The young man was emerging from the water, a small pond in a West Michigan campground. The water had a green cast to it and the young man was oblivious to my camera. I paid no attention to the image for several years and, in a moment of searching my archives for something to do, I took the image to the software and began to play. When I took it to black and white, the magic happened. The play of light on the water, the near perfect ripple caused by his emergence and a young man immersed in the moment created a compelling image. Color is descriptive but black and white is interpretive. 

The Print

• Epson Somerset Velvet Fine Art Paper, a 100% cotton mould made paper, and Canon Archival Inks, a superior pigment ink. This museum quality combination of paper and ink produces rich color, fine detail and a longevity not found in lustre paper prints.

Shipping/Delivery

Free shipping on all unframed prints. Small prints are shipped in a sturdy, flat mailer. Large prints are shipped in a tube. Framed pieces are shipped at the expense of the buyer. 

Please allow 2 weeks for processing your order. Large orders may require more time. Framed pieces will require at least 6 weeks to assemble.
